A2 English Listening: The Story of Breakfast Boy
This is the story of Breakfast Boy.
Every day, Breakfast Boy wakes up at 7:30. Then, he goes to the bathroom, washes his face, and combs his hair. He is just a regular person like you and me.
Next, Breakfast Boy gets dressed. He puts on red shorts, red socks, and a blue t-shirt with a yellow heart in the middle. Finally, he puts on his red cape. Now, Breakfast Boy is ready to start his day.
He can smell something in the kitchen. Is it eggs? Is it toast? Yes! And bacon! Breakfast Boy runs to the kitchen. He sees his father preparing breakfast.
"Dad," he says. "I'm hungry."
"Good morning, William," his dad says.
"I am not William," William says. "I. Am. Breakfast Boy! And I want to eat!"
"Okay, Breakfast Boy," his dad says. "Go wash your hands and put three plates and three forks on the table."
William—I mean, Breakfast Boy—listens to his father. He washes his hands, and he puts three plates and three forks on the table. Then, he waits. And waits. And waits.
"Dad, is it ready?" he asks.
"Yes," his dad says. "Give me your plate."
His dad puts bacon, eggs, and a piece of toast onto his plate.
"Dad, I want more," Breakfast Boy says.
"It's not all for you, William," his dad says.
Suddenly, Breakfast Boy hears a voice.
"Good morning," the voice says. Oh no! He knows that voice. Then, he sees a girl enter the kitchen. It's his sister!
"Breakfast Girl is here!" she says. "And I am hungry!"
