A2 English Listening: Last Weekend
Last weekend was very busy. On Saturday, my family and I went to the zoo. We had a lot of fun. The weather was beautiful, and we saw a lot of animals. My favourite animals were the elephants. They were so big!
After the zoo, we went to a restaurant for dinner. My kids like Italian food, so we went to an Italian restaurant. My wife and I had pasta and our kids had pizza. The restaurant was a little expensive, but the food was very good. After dinner, we went home and relaxed in front of the TV.
On Sunday morning, I met my friend Brian for coffee. We talked for an hour and a half. It was nice. Then, I went to the grocery store to buy food for the week. My wife stayed home and helped our kids with their homework. We wanted to go to the park in the afternoon, but it started raining. So, we decided to do some housework. I cleaned the bathroom, my wife cleaned the living room, and our kids cleaned their bedrooms.
In the evening, I prepared dinner. I'm not a good cook, but my family said the food was good. After dinner, we prepared for bed. I was very tired, so I fell asleep at 8:30!
