Last weekend, I went camping with my family. On Friday night, we packed our bags and put them in the car. On Saturday morning, we started driving. My brother and I were happy—Our parents said we could eat breakfast in the car!

We drove for two hours. During the ride, my brother and I read books and played on our phones. Finally, we arrived at the campsite at noon. It was beautiful! There were trees everywhere and there was a big lake. My brother and I wanted to go swimming. My dad said "No." First, we had to unload the car. We did that very quickly.

Then, my brother and I put on our bathing suits and jumped into the lake. The water was a little cold, but we had a good time. We played for an hour. Next, we had lunch. My dad made hamburgers. They were good, but we forgot to bring ketchup. We ate our hamburgers with mustard and lettuce.

After lunch, we put up the tent. I wanted to help, but I was too small. My mom and dad put up the tent in fifteen minutes. It was so big! Four people could sleep inside.

My favourite part of the weekend was Saturday night. We made a fire and roasted marshmallows. They were delicious! On Sunday morning, we went swimming again and took some family pictures. Finally, we left the campsite at 1 o'clock. My brother and I were very tired, so we fell asleep in the car. What a great trip!
