Level A1 Beginner English Reading Practice: Dear Anna
Dear Anna,
Paris is beautiful! I arrived last night. Sorry that I didn't send you a message. I didn't have internet on my phone. I need a new SIM card. Right now, I'm emailing you from a computer at the National Library. The library is very big! It's only twenty minutes from my hotel.
I like my hotel room. It's clean, and I can see the city from my window. This morning, I had breakfast at a small café next to the hotel. I ate a sandwich and drank a coffee. They were delicious, and the price was good.
I want to see more of the city! I want to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. I also want to find a place with live music. I love French jazz! I want to visit a French book store, too. Maybe I can practice speaking there. I studied French for two years before this trip, so I feel good about my French skills. I'm so excited!
How are you? How were your exams? You can reply to this email, or you can wait for my next message. I will send you a text message (and pictures!) after I buy my new SIM card. I will go to a phone store after I leave the library.
Bye for now!
Lisa
