"Have Got": Casual Alternative for "Have"
For possessives, "have got" is a more informal alternative to "have." Practice using it by answering these questions. For yes/no questions, you can answer with "Yes, I have" or "No, I haven't."

What do you do when you've got a cold?

"Get to do [something]"
If you get to do something, you have an opportunity to do it, usually because the opportunity was given to you, or it comes as a result of your situation. For example, "I like working from home. I get to take more breaks during the day."
What do you like about your current job or school program? What do you get to do?
What is something you didn't get to do when you were younger?
What do bosses get to do that employees don't?
Did you get to stay up late when you were younger, or did your parents make you go to bed early?
How often did you get to eat junk food when you were younger?
"Get something done" (by someone)
If you get something done, someone performs a service for you. For example, "I got my bike fixed at the bike shop."
When was the last time you got your hair cut? (A more common way to ask this question is, "When was the last time you got a haircut?")
How often should car owners get the oil changed in their car?
Have you got your wisdom teeth removed?
What is a home renovation project that you should get done by a professional? (Examples: get new floors put in, get a new shower installed, get a wall replaced)
Have you ever got your hair dyed? (Meaning, coloured with a special liquid, cream, or powder)
"Get" + Adjective / Comparative Adjective
In these cases, "get" is similar in meaning to "become."

What's something that you haven't got around to doing this week? ("get around to" doing something means that you do it eventually. You can say, "I haven't got around to cleaning my room yet, but I plan to do it this weekend." In this case, maybe you have had other activities that were more important, or you just haven't felt like cleaning your room.)
