How to count from 1 to 100 in English

Fundamental English

Learn how to count from 1 to 100 in English. Listen to the audio to practice your pronunciation, then listen to the example sentences to practice using numbers in context.

Pronunciation note: The audio uses the common relaxed pronunciation used by most North Americans. This includes the following numbers: 20 ("TWEN-ee"), 30 ("THUR-dee"), 40 ("FOR-dee"), 70 ("SEH-ven-ee"), 80 ("EY-dee"), and 90 ("NAYN-dee"). This is the pronunciation you will hear most often in everyday speech and in English media. The proper formal pronunciation for these numbers stresses the 'T' sound, as in TWEN-tee for 20, THUR-tee for 30, FOR-tee for 40, SEV-uhn-tee (also common: SEV-uhn-dee) for 70, EY-tee for 80, and NAYN-tee for 90. Depending on the context, you will probably hear both the relaxed and formal pronunciations of these numbers.
