The day is finally here.

This book was a true labour of love. I started working on it over three years ago, but work and family got intense, and I dropped it--until the world changed for everyone a few months ago.

When COVID-19 hit, I lost my day job and suddenly found myself at home a lot more. With the extra time, in addition to spending more time with my wife and kids, and learning a few new recipes, I decided I would finally put in the work and finish my book.

The quarantine led to many late and frustrating nights working on this passion project.

I wrestled with definitions, example sentences, formatting, and everything in between. Sometimes, I was typing at the kitchen table. Other times, I was typing on the couch. I even found myself writing parts of it on my cell phone while lying in bed. (I have an old iPhone SE, which is really small in comparison to the newest models, especially in my oversized hands, so you can imagine how tough that was)

On top of everything, I had to watch two young kids throughout the day. Looking back, I probably let them spend too much time in front of the TV while I chipped away on this project. Not that they complained, of course. :)

So here I am, several months later, releasing a book that I started writing three years ago. I'm tired, I'm relieved, and I'm proud. And I'm ready for the world to read it and let me know what they think of it.
